Position: CAD Drafter/Designer
Location: Tampa, Fl
Seeking experienced Fire Alarm CAD Drafter/Designer that meets the following listed requirements and willingness to perform the listed job responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Knowledge/Expertise in AutoCAD
- Familiar with NFPA-101 Florida Fire Prevention Code and NFPA-72 Municipal Codes
- Knowledge with Notifier, Potter, FireLite, and SilentKnight systems are a major plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
- Capable of handling projects from start to finish
- Willingness to work as a teams
- Must have a reliable transportation
- Ability to follow instructions
- Strong organizational skills, multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined
- Punctual and Responsible.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings and submittal documents accurately and in a timely manner;
- Layout plans utilizing AutoCAD program that meets code;
- Assign proper wiring scheme;
- Prepare panel’s Battery Calculations, Speaker Calculations and Voltage Drop Calculations;
- Layout an organized accurate Riser Diagram that matches the floor plans, calculations and device counts.
- Organize detail, calculation and cover sheets;
- Print, run copies, distribute shop drawings/close-out documents to different departments/ clients as necessary;
- Scan approved, redlines and as built for engineering records;
- Organize engineering job folders for easy and faster access of the projects;
- Submit/Deliver/Pick-up plans to/from the city, job site or client’s office, as necessary;
- Process UPS shipment and deliver to UPS store for all the submittal packages that needs to be mailed-out, as necessary;
- Coordinate plan status with the plan checker.
Working Hours:
- 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday (Overtime is very minimal)
- 2-Break times (one in the morning and one in the afternoon)
- 1-hour Lunch break
